The faculty, staff, and administration of Proviso East High School are looking forward to the arrival of their new freshman class, the Class of 2013.
“We know that this is an exciting time for students and their families,” said Proviso East Assistant Principal Dan Johnson. “We look forward to welcoming our new students and their parents.”
Proviso East’s newest parents and students are invited to begin their high school adventure by attending the Class of 2013 Welcome Evening on Thursday, May 7, 2009—from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
The evening will begin with a program in the auditorium where newcomers will be greeted by administrators of Proviso East High School. Parents and students will receive information on curricular offerings, special programs, and student activities that will prove valuable to the success of new students.
“This night is an opportunity for parents and students to get a good understanding of the courses your student will be taking,” said Proviso East Principal Milton Patch. “The Guidance Counselors will be available, following the opening program, to assist parents, should they have any questions or concerns regarding placement, scheduling, or other items.”
There will also be information available regarding athletics, activities, and clubs. Parents are asked to bring their Notice of Student Course Selection, received in an earlier mailing
